Name: Adrielle
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

Interests: Life = being enraptured in Divine romance. Be a friend with a giraffe. I loove soy ice cream. The color orange is superbly radical. I like juicy peaches, with liquid nectar that gets everything sticky. Befriended adventure, so we like each other a lot. I'm infatuated with the word glimmer. And mango passion smoothies. I'm fascinated by the colors of the tropical sea and purple mountains reflecting the sunrise. I love to be around happy children, and any one who needs cheering up. I have a weird subconcious infatuation with Africa, and someday I hope that desire for an experience unimaginable will become a reality. Jesus, You're the *love* of my life.
Expertise: I love my job as a professional amateur. There's nothing more satisfying than not being very good at anything. Uh, just kidding. I'm an inbound sales rep that is good at selling endorsement stamps to bankers and small business owners. It takes mad skills and talent. I'm really good at saying weird things too. And people say I'm really good at being nice. In fact, some of my co-workers described me as the stereotypical serial-killer, reallyreally nice to everyone up front, then conniving to destroy people's backs. Mm-hm. Thankfully the latter characteristic is non-existent. I do like cereal, tho'.
Occupation: Student in my spare time
Industry: The Pursuit of Joyfulness

Slipping, slipping, slipping into the world of Facebook...

And you thought I died young. Except for those of you on Facebook who know I'm well and alive. :]

I always thought I would remain the one to not compromise by following another online networking gig.

But I have. And I'm really, really loving it.

i know i'm done with school because...i have time to read the comics! yaya! there were some funny ones today.

i know i'm really really sore (like walking like "a 90-year-old woman with one leg" canter) because i climbed the incline the other day:

There's no train on it anymore, so you just climb up the railroad ties. It's a killer. It really is. It sounds like I'm dying of emphysema when I'm up there, but it's so fulfilling once you get to the top! Amazingess.

I'm excited about the Walk for Life I'm doing June 2nd! This year I'm trying to raise $50 more than last. It truly only takes a couple minutes to donate--if any of you feel led to take part in this opportunity to support Life Network, know that every penny goes toward supporting and equipping young moms to make the decision to not abort their unborn babies. So many little ones have been saved, just this past year. Life Network truly does an amazing work.

Thank you so much for your support!!

The air of Colorado still smells intoxicatingly of spring. I'm just so relieved that school is over!!! {happy sigh} well, summer class does start in just a few weeks, but it shouldn't be that bad. Just one class to keep me mentally occupied and closer towards my goal of graduating in...7 more years or so. : >

Oh, yes. And I finally joined Facebook as a reward for finishing the semester. For those of you who don't know already. ; >  It's such an expansive world of networking...I feel like I'm trying to drink out of a waterfall. :o)

I pray this for each of us...

"...May the Lord make you to

increase and excel and overflow in love

for one another and for all people,

just as we also do for you,

so that He may strengthen

and confirm

 and establish your hearts

faultlessly  pure and unblamable in holiness

in the sight of our God and Father..."

1 Thess. 3:12-13

Rock on, mi amigos.

dude...it's been a month since i've updated. i must be changing...the frequency of xanga updates is becoming...less frequent. either that means:

a. i'm occupied with somewhat more important matters, such as striving for good grades

b.  i would get less than 5 hours of sleep a night (i survive fairly well on about 5.5)

c. i'm...ahem...on myspace

d. nothing really interesting is happening in my life that's blog-worthy

Of all the choices, each could be true, but letter d holds the most close to reality.  Except one interesting thing did happen...my first dance! haha. ya know, homeschoolers never really did that prom stuff. don't get me wrong, i love dancing with my sisters, but it was never something to get a corsage over. so it was a masquerade ball. quite a delight i must admit, a fundraiser ball, actually, for the summer missions trips happening at new life church. amy is going to india!  pretty excited about that. but the ball was a great evening of fun. i went with my sisters and two classmates as a part of the Happy Single's Club (we ended up dancing with some air force cadets tho' :). we all five went to the broadmoor hotel to take pics beforehand. good times.

it was a beautiful day.

 this is a beautiful verse:

    "So we are Christ's ambassadors,

           God making His appeal

              as it were through us.

We [as Christ's personal representatives]

beg you for His sake to lay hold

of the divine favor [now offered you]

         and be reconciled to God."

{2 Corinthians 5:20, Amp.}

Reading this verse the other day just got me so excited. We are Christ's ambassadors, His representatives, reconciling others to God. Reconciling others to God. What a thrilling privilege. What a high calling. It's a lot of pressure sometimes, honestly. I just hope to be continually cleared of myself so God can flow through. Let's see how many we can reconcile to Christ.

have a beautiful weekend, everyone.

[and just because i've never disabled comments before, i'll give it a shot :]

*squeeeeal of excitement*

WINTERTIME IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!  Aagh, I'm so excited.  Spring break is next week, the weather is warm, the BULBS ARE SPROUTING, things are looking up.

So I feel badly I've virtually ignored the xanga world the last few weeks.

I have to do my taxes.

I'm cooking Thai next week! It'll be good, Kev.

Someone tried to match my sister up with Apolo Ohno. My sister graciously declined the offer.  Actually I'm just being a dork and name dropping...a family friend sat next to him on the plane when he was flying out for his tryouts with Dancing With the Stars. But it was a different friend that tried setting her up.

So my creative writing class is going fairly well. I'll be a dork again and post one of my poems...

I Call Them…My Best Friends

So many differences, yet so much in common.
I always hear the sounds of
Their infectious laughter, incessant chatter.
Like clouds that cannot separate,
 Always engaging.
How could I face this life without them?
Fashionistas, the latest styles.
Haute couture with flamboyancy.
I am related??
Witty, attractive, and overflowing
With vivaciousness.
How could I face life without
My sisters.

Absolutely none of my poems in class rhymed.  My thought was why waste the time trying to think that coordinatingly. And I don't want my writing to be centered like this anymore. Stinks.

Oh, this was an interesting quote I came across yesterday...

Challenge is a dragon with a gift in its mouth.

Tame the dragon and the gift is yours.

 - Noela Evans

Interesting, no? Most importantly, this verse really struck me the other day:

"For the kingdom of God consists of

and is based on not talk

but power (moral power and excellence of soul)."

1 Corinthians 4:20

Grace is not a cover-up, friends.

It is the power that gives us the ability to do what truth demands of us.

Till next time...

Announcing the birth of...

Baby Doll Blue

car4

Well, more like adoption, because she's actually 6 years old.  I got her from Craigslist.com.  Good deal.

I really like my license plate. What are the chances that I could get triple 1 for all numbers?  I just feel really unique.  And I do find immense satisfaction in obscure places.

And OLT has many different meanings...Oliver Twist.  Old Testament. Old Lady T-Shirt.

car2

And my seat covers are....

car3

Mee Grandma from Hawaii sent them to me--muu muu seat covers!  Made in Hawaii...from Wal-Mart.

Overall, it's a great car.  It supposedly can go up to 140 miles.  I have yet to experience that...

But I can say I experienced this: !!!!

ski11

This was right before we went down the bunny hills for the first time:

ski1

Learning how to ski is definitely a humbling experience.  Going down the bunny hill, I lost control and veered across the ramp that brings everyone to the top of the hill. I almost knocked over a mom and her child. I safely crashed into a mountain of snow on the other side. You just have to laugh at yourself, swing your legs together, and get back up.  I probably fell...well, less than 20 times. Oh my goodness...but one of the scariest experiences I've ever had (besides that one nightmare when I lost my ability to scream while the man abducted me, and that other time when I was driving in the white-out blizzard) was going down the first major hill on the green run.  I totally forgot I was supposed to glide from the right to the left, so I went down the hill straight, all the way.  All I could say was "helpmeJesushelpmeJesushelpmeJesushelpme!!!"  I made it to the bottom still standing, but I was so shocked that hadn't fallen down, I collapsed at the bottom just for the hey of it.

Our wonderful instructor and friend, Samantha. She was such a great teacher!

ski6

Up on the lift.  Look at those two little people!

ski10

It was SO stinkin' cold...but so breath-takingly beautiful!

ski5

ski4

Ames.

ski7

Me...slightly nervous getting ready to go on another run...

ski9

One of the guys that worked there was like, "You'll get so addicted!" Well, that was right after I got off the bunny hill, publicly humiliating myself over and over again. I was thinking, You gotta be kidding me!  But by the end of the day, I felt so fulfilled because I learned how to ski!!  Twas a great experience indeed. And I can't wait to go back!
